From legend red roses came from the blood of Adonis and these roses in turn were bestowed on Aphrodite, Greek goddess of love. This is perhaps why red is associated with love, prosperity, luck and happiness. This is particularly true of Chinese culture where red is highly valued. Love, Passion, Wealth, Power, Strength, and Desire are all strong emotions which are associated with the colour red. On Valentine’s day red is everywhere, Cupids, Hearts, Roses, Ribbons, Cards, Toys, Wine, Chocolate, the list is extensive – much like the different shades available. With over 20 shades of red in the colour palette, there is something for everyone. A little red to have your “say” A pop of colour goes a long way. K a brown.
